Laura and Steve wanted to highlight and embrace the elements of fall in their wedding design. They opted for a muted fall palette for their wedding at Copper Creek Golf Club at the beginning of the season which played off beautifully with the landscape of the golf course.
Since they wanted a very wild and organic look for their floral design, we used a wide variety of flowers. For her bouquet we chose a mustard color ribbon to bring in that extra pop of fall that complemented their colour palette while also bringing in the richness of the leaves changing outside. For an extra personal touch, Laura added a piece of her grandmother’s ivy plant in her bridal bouquet.
Another special element of Laura and Steve’s wedding was their love for greenery. We accomplished this by having a combination of low floral centrepieces and tall centrepieces made of only greenery. We also had a beautiful arch behind the head table covered with greenery, adorned with a bright neon sign giving the otherwise classic arch a very modern and contemporary touch. For the head table we added long winding vines of greenery making it look as if it was growing from the ground. The showstopper was the one-of-a-kind free-standing greenery piece we had made for their seating chart. It stood 7 feet tall, encased in glass and served as a welcome sign, a seating chart, and a timeline of the events to come.
Laura and Steve’s colour palette ended up being one of my favourites that year. There’s a certain magic that happens when your visions click, but my favourite part of the experience was the great connection we have and how we’re still in touch today.
