Black Accents and Dramatic Blooms in Toronto

We love a good pop of sexy black from time to time. Black can give a great dramatic punch while giving the colour palette its time to shine. On Megan and Andrew’s big day, the black elements brought out the beauty in the other colours in their palette making it truly one to remember.

For Megan’s bouquet we used an array of flowers including peach ranunculus, anemones, burgundy scabiosa, and fragrant white O’hara roses. To bring the same wild organic lines to Megan’s bouquet we added textured larkspur and eucalyptus for dimension and shape. It was adorned with a bold black ribbon giving it a classic yet edgy look.

We created one of a kind peach and burgundy arrangements in custom black vases for their tablescape. The black vases allowed the peaches and burgundy pop and coordinated beautifully with the other black elements in their tablescape.

For the fireplace instalment we wanted to create something that felt very natural and organic with strong dramatic pops of colour. We loved incorporating and creating wild natural lines with the greenery and paired with the neon sign, it became something truly special and was completely floral-foam free!

One of our favourite parts of the day was adding the organic and natural-looking smilax on her banister. The rich, wild greens were an element we incorporated in the table design and fireplace which tied in beautifully with the stairs.
