Intimate Summer Ceremony in Niagara on the Lake

November 17, 2020

Although the pandemic had thrown a wrench in their wedding plans, Livi and Dan pivoted and decided to still have a small ceremony in Niagara on the Lake. For their florals, they chose to go with a feminine palette with bold elements and allowed us to have fun using what was in season at the time.

I absolutely loved their colour palette as it was a touch on the bolder side. We used the classic colour combination of blush, white, and pink, juxtaposed with navy blue. It was the perfect palette that incorporated the bright, airy feeling of summer with a few rustic, organic touches of fall.

For Livi’s bouquet we went with a very earthy, natural, loose structure and wanted to create a feeling of relaxed elegance. It had a beautiful mix of blush roses, white tuberose, sedum, heather, foxglove, and fun textural elements such as snowberries and blue berries. We wanted to bring that same feeling in Dan’s boutonniere while also incorporating fun, textural, elements and added a couple of sprigs of phalaris and bunny tails.

Our favourite special element of their ceremony though had to be their beautiful fur baby! Any time someone brings their pet to their wedding is an A+ in our books!
