Citrus-Inspired Editorial at The Estates of Sunnybrook

March 29, 2019

On a beautiful day in August 2018, a fabulous team of vendors and I put together this Citrus-inspired style shoot at the McLean House at The Estates of Sunnybrook. Lead by Isabel Lee of LoveLee Celebrations and co-produced by Maureen of Maureen Im Photography, this team of power ladies brought to life a carefully curated colour palette that will truly get you excited for summer!

We used a delicate combination of Cappuccino roses, Quicksands, orange/peach dahlias and textural yarrow for the bouquet and centrepieces. The showstopper though – the Keira garden roses.

My favourite part was the window installation. I brought an extra bucket of flowers and greenery, not knowing just yet what I really wanted to do with them. I tangled with the idea of wrapping the staircase bannister, but when I saw the window sill, I knew I wanted to turn it into an oasis for our bride to frolic in. I’m a HUGE, MEGA fan of taking an ordinary space and turning it into something that looks like it has been untouched for 100 years with overgrown greenery, wildflowers throughout.

Serendipitously, this shoot was featured on the Wedding Chicks blog on International Women’s Day. If you follow me on Instagram, you know this day is VERY important to me. Huge appreciation to this team of women for putting together something so magical.
